Augustus T. Zevely Inn offers Southern hospitality and mid-19th century flair with a taste of authentic Moravian style. The 1844 home and office of physician A.T. Zevely was later restored and converted into a fully operational bed-and-breakfast. Housed in the midst of historic Old Salem and listed on the National Historic Register, the Zevely Inn recreates the style of the era. Mornings begin in The Dining Room, featuring a complimentary breakfast of coffee, fresh juice and pastries. In the evening, retreat to the privacy of your guest room or suite and relax amidst high ceilings and authentic Early American pieces - including poster beds and handmade quilts. For dinner, the Salem Tavern, famous for its Moravian chicken pie and pumpkin muffins is just across the street. There are twelve guest rooms, on three floors, decorated with antiques and characteristic Moravian design. Members of the Zevely family are commemorated with engraved nameplates on the doors of each guestroom.
