Hearst Castle
Since 1958 Hearst Castle has been offering top quality guided tours of this extraordinary historic estate. Conveniently located midway between Los Angeles and San Francisco on scenic Highway 1, it was originally built by art collector and publisher William Randolph Hearst. Today it is one of America’s best known house museums. Art and architectural elements originating primarily from Spain and Italy compliment the Mediterranean Revival architecture and gardens. The National Geographic Theatre at the Hearst Castle Visitor Centre is a 5-story screen theatre showing the resident film “Hearst Castle-Building the Dream” as the companion film to Castle Tours.
